Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Position Summary: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Pharmacist based at Basic Health Centre (BHC) Yasin and Basic Health Centre (BHC) Chatorkhan, District Ghizer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviews and validates prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
• Dispenses medicines in accordance with medical orders and hospital policies.
• Prevents and resolve medication-related problems.
• Provides medication counselling to patients regarding correct usage, side effects, and interactions.
• Monitors patient responses to drug therapy and make recommendations.
• Participates in rounds and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Maintains adequate stock levels of medicines, vaccines, and medical surgical supplies.
• Ensures proper storage conditions for all pharmaceutical items.
• Manages control of narcotics/controlled substances as per regulations.
• Monitors, documents, and reports adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
• Ensures compliance with hospital and national pharmacovigilance guidelines.
• Provides training and guidance to pharmacy staff, nurses, and pharmacy Asst & BHC Staff of AKHSP Community Program GB.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies, Drug Regulatory Authority guidelines, and legal requirements.
• Maintains accurate records of dispensing, controlled substances, and adverse events.
• Contributes to the development of hospital formularies and treatment guidelines.
• Ensures Monthly Pharmacy Physical with Finance Team/Field Team.
• Reconciles of Cash of Each shift.
• Ensures Intimation of Near Expiry Medications.
• Any other task Given by the department lead...

Qualifications & Experience:

• Pharm D. (Doctor of Pharmacy)
• Fresh Pharmacist, Preference will be given to experienced candidates
• Ability to speak and understand job related English, sufficient to carryout nursing care instructions.
• Demonstrate polite and courteous behavior at all time.
• Demonstrate positive attitude to those in authority.

Ability to give oral instructions / information to patients and visitors in Urdu
