Position summary

The Court Clerk supports lawyers in managing litigation processes by collecting court documentation, maintaining accurate records, preparing client files, and assisting with case administration. The role ensures timely reporting, proper documentation management, and compliance with organizational standards to support efficient legal operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Documentation Collection & Management

  • Collect and maintain all case-related documents including attested Vakalatnamas, disposal orders, certified copies of judgments, and bail orders.

  • Obtain and organize police papers for advocates after the prosecution provides copy supply.

2. File Preparation & Record Keeping

  • Prepare new client files including Vakalatnamas, entry forms, and other relevant documentation.

  • Maintain accurate Vakalatnama records and registers.

3. Reporting & Progress Tracking

  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports on time.

  • Share progress updates in the first week of each month regarding received and pending copies of disposal orders.

4. Additional Duties

  • Perform other official tasks assigned by the litigation management team.

Requirements

  • Education: Matriculation and Intermediate (preference for Intermediate qualification).

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a related field.

  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Knowledge: Ability to read and write in English, Sindhi, and Urdu.

  • Values: Integrity, honesty, strong work ethic, and respect for confidentiality.

  • Personal Attributes: Flexibility, motivation, and the ability to work effectively in challenging conditions.

  • Ensure accurate and timely collection of court documentation.

  • Maintain organized client files and proper record-keeping systems.

  • Submit monthly and quarterly reports within the required timelines.

  • Provide reliable administrative and documentation support to lawyers.
