Job Summary: The Dental Surgeon will provide preventive, diagnostic, and curative dental services, including minor oral surgeries and extractions, maintain patient records, promote oral health education, and ensure infection control, reporting to the PMO/SMO.

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent Dental Surgeon based at RHC Shagram, Upper-Chitral in Chitral Region. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide preventive, diagnostic, and curative dental services for patients at the RHC
  • Conduct routine dental check-ups, extractions, restorations, and minor oral surgeries
  • Promote oral health awareness and hygiene education among patients and community
  • Maintain patient records, dental treatment logs, and HMIS reporting as per hospital standards
  • Ensure infection prevention and sterilization of dental equipment
  • Coordinate with PMO/SMO and other clinical staff to ensure integrated patient care
  • Participate in community outreach programs for oral health promotion

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution with valid PMDC registration.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred, however, fresh graduates completed house job may apply.
  • Strong clinical skills in general dentistry
  • Ability to manage routine and emergency dental cases
  • Results-driven, ethical and adaptable professional with a strong service and stakeholder focus.
  • Strong integrity with the sensitivity to manage confidential information.
  • Demonstrates superior organizational skills and the agility to multitask and assume changing strategic responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Possesses strong integrity, intellectual humility and demonstrable expertise in navigating ambiguity and constant change.
  • Shows resilience, flexibility and perseverance, especially during challenging periods.
