Hiring of Consultant/Trainer for Youth Ambassador,
UNODC- Countering and Preventing Terrorism in 07 Districts of Karachi (Korangi, South, East, West, Malir, Central and Nazimabad)
The Youth Ambassador will represent CPTP-UNODC Project (Countering and Preventing Terrorism in Pakistan) and advocate for its values, mission, and programs among youth and community members. The Youth Ambassador will actively engage with various stakeholders to inspire and empower youth, raise awareness, and promote positive change within the community.
HANDS Pakistan seeks to implement a project aimed at preventing violent extremism and promoting peacebuilding within vulnerable communities. This project will leverage innovative approaches, including capacity building and awareness session, to strengthen community resilience, collaboration, empowerment inclusivity, and social cohesion.
The primary audience will be youth and women, they will contribute to combat extremism and promote peace.
Outcome of the intervention would be inclusive and tolerant societies, where all people, regardless of
their backgrounds, can contribute and thrive. “
The objective of this consulting assignment is to provide support in all aspects conduct trainings and develop Manual and IEC materials.
• Manual Development:
Develop a comprehensive training manual on Peace and Conflict Resolution Manual for Youth aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Create engaging training materials, including presentations, handouts, and interactive exercises.
• Training Delivery:
Conduct 3-day training sessions on various topics, such as leadership, communication, public speaking, social impact, youth development,
Facilitate interactive learning activities, including group discussions, role-playing, and case studies.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to participants.
• Program Evaluation:
Evaluate the effectiveness of 3-day training programs and identify areas for improvement.
Collect and analyze feedback from participants to inform future training initiatives.
• IEC Materials Development:
Needs Assessment:
Conduct needs assessments to identify the target audience's information needs and preferences.
Material Development:
Design and develop a variety of IEC materials, including:
Infographics
Ensure that materials are visually appealing, easy to understand, and culturally appropriate.

DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The estimated input of the consultant is till 31st Jan 2025. The assignment is expected to start on 25th Dec 2024.
PROFILE OF CONSULTANT
To be qualified for the Assignment, the Consultant must be:
Gender Men/Women
Age 35-50
Education Required Graduate/Master Sociology/ Relevant Degree Preferred
Place of Posting Karachi
Related work experience required 5-6 Years
Skills required Communication skills, leadership skills, public speaking, Problem-solving and Digital literacy
Any other requirement course/degree/specialization Developed the manuals, IEC materials and conducted Training on Peace, Conflict Resolution Youth Development, and knowledge about youth issues.

1. 4. HANDS reserves the right to accept/reject or cancel any proposal if not meet the standard of evaluation.
5. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present detailed briefs through meetings with relevant officials.
6. The contents of the proposal are mentioned below:
a. Brief introduction of consultant (attach detailed CV /Profile with references of completed projects and clients’ details)
b. Detail Understanding of context with respect to Peace, Conflict Resolution Youth Development, and knowledge about youth issues
c. Execution Methodology against each deliverable with timelines.
d. Work Plan
e. Technical Feasibility that includes point a-d
f. Financial Proposal
g. Certifications related compliance of drug free workplace, sexual harassment, child abuse, financial insolvency & bankruptcy, blacklisting from any regulatory authority inside Pakistan or from clients including SAPPRA & PPRA
Proposal Evaluation Criteria: -
1. 80% Weightage, based on technical evaluation.
2. 20% Weightage, based on financial evaluation.
Contract Type:
This is a fixed cost assignment and “reimbursement mode of payment” against the achievement of the milestone/s. No additional financial support cost provided related to operational / equipment procurement/ travel arrangements will be paid by HANDS beyond the quoted amount by the Consultant at the proposal submission stage.
