Job Description:

Position Objective and Specific Tasks.

A new vaccination initiative is being launched to enhance immunization services both demand generation and service delivery in remote and underserved communities. This project requires a dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer responsible for monitoring immunization activities, tracking project progress, collecting and analyzing data, and producing reports to evaluate the project’s effectiveness in achieving zero-dose coverage. This role will also involve managing M&E records, supporting national reporting tools, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to database management, survey design, and statistical analysis.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Develop and implement a robust M&E framework for tracking immunization activities.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data on vaccination coverage, social mobilization activities, logistical challenges, and overall project impact.
  • Conduct field visits to vaccination sites to monitor service delivery and ensure compliance with project goals.
  • Support to ensure project results are reflected in district, provincial, and national vaccination data.
  • Assist in developing and writing data entry programs for all M&E activities.
  • Aid in designing survey questionnaires and data collection instruments in English and Urdu for collecting primary and secondary data.
  • Participate in weekly meeting planned by the Project Coordinator.
  • Establish and maintain a filing system for all M&E activities, reports, and analyses.
  • Support database development, data entry, data cleaning, verification, and analysis.
  • Coordinate with the team for the timely collection of monthly, quarterly, and yearly work plans and all relevant reports.
  • Document methodologies and procedures used in the compilation and analysis of data.
  • Assist in M&E data collection, processing, analysis, and publication of statistical data.
  • Evaluate statistical methods and procedures to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Identify relationships and trends in data to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Evaluate sources of information to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability.
  • Prepare data for processing by organizing information, checking for inaccuracies, and adjusting and weighting raw data.
  • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator, field teams, and healthcare workers for effective M&E implementation.
  • Provide training and technical support to staff on data collection, reporting, and analysis.
  • Engage with local health authorities, and partners to align project M&E activities with national health policies

Educational Requirements and Skills. 

The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computing, Data Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience working in development sector.
  • Proficiency in MS Office focusing on Excel is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience of monitoring and evaluation of immunization initiatives including the routine collection and analysis of data through existing information systems like EPI-MIS, NEIR, and Supervisory App to track immunization coverage and performance will be preferred.
  • Strong technical analysis and data visualization skills.
  • Ability to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop effective measurement systems to track project impact.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative M&E data collection, verification, validation, and analysis methods, including tracking outcome indicators and conducting program evaluations.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, MS Access, and SPSS is a plus.
