Job Summary:

An international organization is seeking skilled Data Science Officers to support data-driven decision-making. The selected individuals will be placed within the Health Departments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will be responsible for providing analytical support by analyzing routine health information system data and survey datasets to generate data analytics, visualizations, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and interpret data from routine health information systems and survey datasets.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel (advanced level) for generating data analytics and visualizations.
• Promote use of existing integrated dashboards and analytical systems across department, including during meetings, reviews, and other relevant engagements.
• Work with SPSS or STATA for statistical analysis where required.
• Write and execute SQL queries to extract, manage, and analyse data from databases.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
• Apply forecasting and predictive analytics using data science tools such as Python to identify trends and patterns.
• Support decision-making by identifying trends and patterns in health-related data.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide analytical support.
• Coordinate with the home office regularly

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, charts, and formulas).
• Experience with SPSS or STATA for statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong understanding of datasets, data structures, and analytical techniques.
• A good understanding of public health data systems.
• Expertise in Python for forecasting, predictive analysis would be a plus.
• Ability to interpret data trends and generate meaningful insights.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
