1. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Assists and support the Research & MEAL Department with the following tasks and activities; Research Interns will be responsible for:
🔹 Research Development and Writing
- Develop high-quality research paper for submission to impact factor journals, HEC-recognized journals, and other reputable academic and practitioner publications.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews on key thematic areas relevant to the mission, such as humanitarian response, education, climate change, food security, WASH, and nutrition.
- Synthesize findings from primary and secondary sources into comprehensive and insightful summaries.
🔹 Data Collection and Analysis
- Support field-level data collection, ensuring accurate data gathering and performing quality checks.
- Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative data analysis using software and assist in the description and interpretation of data for various reports and research outputs.
🔹 Reporting and Knowledge Dissemination
- Independently prepare high-quality research reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to organizational standards and formats.
- Support the preparation of donor reports, case studies, policy briefs, and other knowledge products for both internal and external dissemination.
🔹 Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with MEAL staff, program teams, and external partners to ensure research initiatives align with programmatic priorities and contribute to evidence-based decision-making.
- Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure the integration of research findings into project design and implementation.
🔹 Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing
- Actively participate in, and potentially lead training sessions, seminars, and workshops organized by the organization to build internal and external research capacity.
- Contribute to the development of training materials, presentations, and capacity-building resources for staff and partners.
2. REQUIREMENTS |

Education |
- Graduate or Post-graduate in Social Sciences or any other related discipline. |
Experience |
- Fresh to one year experience in relavent field. Experience in literature reviews, research methodologies and data analysis techniques. Strong writing skills with the ability to draft well-structured, evidence-based reports and papers. |
Knowledge |
- Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office. - Willingness to travel within the assigned areas for data collection. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong research and analytical skills. |
