Master Trainer FOR Enterprise Development Training (EDT)

Objectives of the assignment

  • To plan and conduct three-day Enterprise Development Trainings for recent vocational training graduates.
  • To enhance participants' understanding and capacity to initiate and manage small enterprises effectively.
  • To equip participants with business management and entrepreneurial skills through practical, community-based sessions.

Scope of Work

The selected trainer will,

  • Develop and adapt training materials and pictorial/IEC content for low-literacy participants.
  • Travel to each community to conduct field-based training sessions.
  • Deliver interactive and engaging EDT sessions tailored to local needs.
  • Design pre and post training assessment tool by considering the literacy rate of the participants of the training
  • Submission of training report

Training Delivery

The selected individual will deliver the training according to standard procedures and session plans provided by the individual. Trainer’s will provide visual illustrations, background material, and guidance notes on session plans. The key topic will include,

Enterprise Development Training (EDT)

  • Basic concepts of business and business cycle
  • Identification and selection of business
  • 6 principles (6 Ps) of marketing
  • Essential entrepreneurial competencies
  • Market Assessment (link with 6 Ps)
  • Supply and value chains (demand and supply)
  • Budgeting, costing and business feasibility development
  • Book-keeping/record-keeping
  • Business Plans (preparation and checking)
  • EDT Functional Literacy

Business Management

  • Basic concepts of business and business cycle management
  • Selection of business and its management
  • Essential entrepreneurial competencies
  • Types of business

Assets Management

  • What are assets and what is their management?
  • Effective management and operation of given assets

Financial Literacy

  • Budgeting and costing (Importance of a budget, how to make a simple budget
  • Record/book keeping
  • Savings (Concept and importance of saving, saving types and their benefits)

Expected result of EDT

By the end of the training, trainees should be able to:

  • Grasp fundamental business concepts and apply them to real-life scenarios
  • Assess local markets and identify viable business opportunities
  • Develop, plan, and evaluate business ideas and feasibility
  • Record and manage daily business transactions
  • Understand how to build commercial linkages and networks
  • Operate and manage their assets effectively
  • Demonstrate increased confidence and knowledge in starting and sustaining micro-enterprises

Key Responsibilities of the Trainer

 The individual/ Master trainers will be responsible of the following tasks, 

  • The training will adopt a participatory, practical approach including:
  • Group assignments and case studies
  • Interactive presentations and Q&A
  • Visual aids for low-literacy audiences
  • Hands-on exercises simulating real business scenarios 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have,

  • Proven experience in delivering entrepreneurship and business training at the grassroots level
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with NGOs, donor-funded projects, or training institutes
  • Master’s degree or 16 years of education in a relevant field
  • Strong command of Pashto and understanding of the local context
  • Ability to travel independently and conduct field-based trainings.

Logistics & Remuneration

  • The selected Master Trainer will be responsible for their own accommodation, meals, and transport.
  • Payment Terms: 30 % payment upon signing the agreement and remaining 70% payment upon successful completion of the assignment and submission of the final report to the program team (hard and soft copies)
