The U.S. Mission in Pakistan is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for two vacant positions of the Security Investigator in the RegionalSecurity Office in Islamabad.

Basic Function of the Position – Working in the Regional Security Office (RSO), the Foreign Service National Investigator (FSNI) conducts security investigations and maintainsliaison with local police and other security and law enforcement officials. The FSNI assists the RSO team in coordinating protection for post personnel and visiting U.S. governmentofficials, obtaining and reporting on information concerning potential security threats to post personnel, facilities, or information. Coordinates with local authorities by traveling todifferent cities in the country to facilitate VIP visits to those locations. Performs translation service for RSO when required.

Qualification Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in law enforcement, military, private security, or investigation is required.

Education: Completion of College or University Studies (14 years of education) is required.

Job Knowledge: The incumbent should have knowledge of the local and regional judicial system including criminal laws and procedures, and laws regardingmarriage divorce, adoption and military service. Should have detailed knowledge of investigative techniques and security database. Theincumbent should have knowledge to performs translation service for RSO when required.

Language: Good working knowledge of Speaking/Reading/Writing in English and Fluent speaking/reading/writing in Urdu is required. English languageskills may be tested.

Skills And Abilities: The incumbent should have ability to use MS Excel, Access, and Word software and Internet search engines. Should be able to draftcorrespondence and reports in English; and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications. The incumbent should have ability towork independently as well as in a team setting. Should be able to conduct background investigations on candidates for employment and onlocal contracts to determine suitability for business. The incumbent must develop and maintain contacts with local government authorities, thePolice and other law enforcement and private security entities to protect the security of post personnel, coordinate U.S. dignity visits, andfacilitates international conference. A Pakistani valid driver's license for Motor Car/Jeep is required. Applicants must show proof that they havea minimum of five years of licensed driving experience. Skills and abilities may be tested.
