Job Summary:

The District Field Coordinator will lead and coordinate all immunization-focused project activities at the district level, ensuring timely and quality implementation in collaboration with local communities, government stakeholders, and project teams. The role includes community engagement, supportive supervision, IEC dissemination, data reporting, and coordination with district health structures to enhance immunization uptake among zero-dose, defaulter, and refusal cases.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planning & Implementation
    • Map clusters of zero-dose, defaulter, and refusal children (ZD, Def, Ref).
    • Lead the formation of support groups for mothers and fathers to identify outreach sites and promote child vaccination.
    • Organize school and community-based HPV awareness sessions for adolescent girls aged 9–14 and their caregivers.
  2. Community Mobilization & Engagement
    • Identify and engage traditional and religious leaders to conduct dialogue on cultural barriers and immunization myths.
    • Facilitate roundtable discussions and advocacy meetings with community influencers.
    • Support the establishment and regular functioning of District Health Committees inclusive of tribal and religious leaders.
  3. Information, Education, and Communication (IEC)
    • Supervise the development and distribution of culturally appropriate IEC materials in hotspot areas.
    • Ensure IEC materials are effectively communicated and accepted within diverse community settings.
  4. Supportive Supervision & Capacity Building
    • Conduct training sessions for frontline health workers (LHWs, vaccinators) on culturally sensitive SBC interventions.
    • Coordinate supportive supervision visits using ODK-based tools to collect real-time data for MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning).
  5. Health System Strengthening
    • Conduct awareness sessions at health facilities about the availability of 24/7 birth dose services.
    • Facilitate evening immunization sessions at health centers to reach working parents.
    • Coordinate with the Health Education Cell under DGHS and represent organization at provincial communication task force meetings.
  6. Monitoring, Reporting & Learning
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities, attendance, and outcomes.
    • Develop and share field reports, success stories, and lessons learned for continuous improvement and donor reporting.
    • Contribute to annual reviews and evaluations in coordination with district health authorities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of field experience in health or immunization programs.
  • Strong experience in community mobilization, stakeholder coordination, and supportive supervision.
  • Proficiency in digital data collection tools (e.g., ODK, Kobo).
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including cultural sensitivity and fluency in local language(s).
  • Willingness to travel within the district and work flexible hours, including evenings.
