Job Description:
Ojective:
The Project Officer will provide comprehensive support for the coordination and implementation of immunization initiatives across provinces by ensuring effective planning, communication, monitoring, and reporting, while facilitating data-driven decision-making, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
The Project Officer will support in the following key areas:
- Assisting in the development, consolidation, and tracking of work plans across provinces.
- Coordinating with field teams to ensure activities are aligned with the overall project strategy and timelines.
- Supporting communication with provincial teams for timely and effective implementation of immunization activities.
- Monitoring progress, identifying operational challenges, and escalating issues for resolution.
- Compiling and reviewing field reports, success stories, and case studies.
- Drafting and submitting quality reports in line with donor and internal requirements.
- Liaising with field teams, internal departments, and external partners to ensure seamless coordination and follow-up.
- Supporting organization of review meetings, trainings, and stakeholder consultations.
- Assisting in the collection, analysis, and validation of program data.
- Supporting the M&E team in tracking performance indicators and generating insights for decision-making.
- Supporting internal knowledge-sharing and documentation of lessons learned.
- Helping facilitate procurement requests, logistics, and distribution of materials to provincial teams.
- Assisting in the preparation and coordination of events, workshops, and field visits.
- Demonstrates strong expertise in drafting reports, newsletters, briefs, and other written communications.
Educational Requirements and Competencies.
The individual holding this position shall possess the following:
- A medical doctor with post-graduation in Public Health or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in health projects/ programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with donor funded branding and marketing and graphics guidelines and donor communication requirements.
- Expertise in strategic communication.
- Experience in managing media relations, social media, and advocacy campaigns.
- Desirable knowledge of immunization or other public health program.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
- Commitment to ethical data management and confidentiality.
- Demonstrates adaptability, problem-solving, integrity, resilience, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
